I generally prefer plain switch plates, but I think in the nursery or kids room a decorative switch plate is charming. After I made my first one of these with Mod Green Pod fabrics I was addicted. You can use any size switch plate. I like to use the stainless steel switch plates instead of plastic. For safety reasons, I have also developed a method that does not require folding any fabric onto the back of the switch plate.

- Zähler für Kommentare, Track- und Pingbacks ab WordPress 2.7 – bueltge.de [by:ltge.de] – Seit WordPress 2.7 gibt es eine API für den Bereich der Kommentare. Damit kann man auch den PHP-Anteil innerhalb der comments.php entschlacken, je nach eigenem Ermessen. Jean-Baptiste zeigt eine einfache Lösung, um die Kommentare zu zählen. Die Lösung sollte bekannt sein und wird quasi seit der ersten WordPress Veröffentlichung so realisiert. Hinweise dazu gibt es vielfach hier im Blog und im Netz. Wollte man dann aber einen Filter über den Zähler haben, der beispielsweise nur die Trackbacks zählt oder auch nur die Kommentare, die per Formular eingehen, dann scheitert diese Lösung. Außerdem ist das How To doch recht schmal und PHP-Laien könnten in Schwierigkeiten geraten.
- WordPress Ressourcen – WordPress-Buch – WordPress ist bis her in allen Versionen stetig gewachsen, exponentiell, und die vielen Funktionen und Möglichkeiten lassen sich in ihrem vollem Umfang nur dann erkennen, wenn man sich mir dem Core auseinandersetzt. Nicht jeder hat die Muse dazu oder die Zeit.
Der Codex von WordPress wächst, leider bleibt er dabei ein wenig unübersichtlich und die Suche gibt bisher auch nicht her, was man sich des öfteren bei einem Problem wünscht.
Daher mal aus meinem Fundus einige Links direkt im Codex mit hilfreichen Tipps, die ich immer wieder nutze.
Im Anschluss einige Links, die nicht dem Codex entsprechen, aber sehr nützlich beim Arbeiten mit WordPress sind.
